                                                                                                                                                                           Are you . . . a small group looking for a service project? A mentor/mentee pair looking for an activity to do together? A family looking for an activity you all can participate in? An individual , or group of friends,who doesn't want to commit to a big project, but has t ime to help with a s mall endeavor?


         If you answered yes to any of the se questions, the Christian Education Commission is looking for you. We need volunteers to clean the nursery at least once a month. This involve s wiping surfaces, washing toys, and organizing materials in the nursery space.
         If you can help out, please contact Deb Williams or Lois Mast.

From the Library Committee
                  We are looking for the book titled The Innocent Man by John Grisham. If you borrowed the book from the BAMF church library, please return it as soon as possible.

Berkey Avenue Announcements
         Our congregation's college assistance fund is open for your donations . To even out the cycles of this fund, we have changed the deadline for fall semester payments to July 15. We hope this will make it easier for us maintain a more even giving pattern into the fund.

         I' m helping Dean Guth find apart-time summer job. He is a 20-year old GC student who needs an entry-level job. I would be willing to help him get started and check in on his progress occasionally if the job is something I can do, such as gardening, cooking , cleaning, walking dogs, etc. He is very skilled with computers.Call me at 533-8 026, or leave a message on Dean' s home phone, 534-2718.          A `` Thank You'' from Mari Glick is posted on the bulletin board. The Glicks used our building for a Benefit Rummage Sale to help pay for Kechia's medical expenses.

         Hopi Mission School in northern Arizona will be the new recipient of our coupons and labels. Mission work on the Hopi Reservation, a rural, isolated area of mesas and high desert, was started by the General Conference Mennonite Church in 1893. The school, located in Kysotsmovi, AZ, began in 1951 and is sponsored by both Mennonite and American Baptist c hurches. There are about 60 students in grades K-6. The school operates on a tight budget and uses coupons for classroom supplies and equipment. Betty Crocker coupons will continue to go to Bashor Home. A list of eligible coupons is on the table by the poster. Thank you for your help.

C ommunity Announcements
         Mennonite Central Committee Great Lakes seeks a part-time Material Resources Coordinator. This person. located in Goshen, is responsible for receiving and checking donated materials, and recruiting and coordinating volunteers to help with these tasks. It includes record keeping, some heavy lifting, and forklift driving certification or willingness to take a certification course.          Eighth Street Preschool, 602 S. Eighth Street in Goshen, is accepting registrations for the 2008-2009 school year. Eighth Street Preschool emphasizes discovery learning and social interactions appropriate for 3-5 year olds. The 3/4 classes meet Tuesday and Thursday from 9 :00 -11 :00 a.m. The 4/5 classes meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 :00 -11:30 a.m. or 12:30-3 :00 p.m. Children experience quality activities in art, literature, music and movement. Eighth Street Preschool welcomes a diverse population. Openings are limited and fill quickly. Financial aid applications are available. Call 533-6720 for more information.

        
Yellow Creek Mennonite Church is planning to take a group of senior adults on a bus trip to north-central Ohio on September 8-12 . The trip combin es Christian fellowship, site seeing and service. Pete and Pat Stahly are the tour guides . A $100 deposit, due by July 13, is required for each person. A flier with more information is on the bulletin board .
